JC: Bernard Road
9 Yrs Old
Arkansas Bred OTTB Gelding
16.3 hh
RRP Makeover 2018 Competitor in the Dressage Division
Bernard has a wonderful disposition and just wants to please.
With Storm Cat on his sire's side and Cherokee Run on his Dam's side he has impeccable breeding.
He is a big teddy bear of a boy who is gentle and kind and loves to be around people.
He is an all-around gem and can be ridden western or English.
Hit the trails one day in your western saddle and English Dressage show the next, He's your man!
Would make a lovely, Hunter, Dressage, family and all around pleasure horse.
He is a beautiful mover has three very flashy gaits
He has a more whoa than go personality and doesn't have a spooky bone in his body
Goes around comfortably on the buckle and can be ridden in a bitless sidepull.
He is the same horse no matter what day you ride
Great around traffic, dogs, and over trot poles.
He has never done anything silly for us and would be great for an advanced beginner on up.
He retired from racing with a fracture in his left knee.
He was evaluated at the University of Missouri Veterinary Health Center
He underwent four stem cell therapy treatments and healed completely sound following a 6 month rehab.
He was cleared to continue on to any career but we would recommend he stay in a flat riding/ low impact home.
He has no known vices and is easy to catch in the field.
He is fine in a stall or out in a pasture with geldings, mares, and ponies
Does best in a bigger trailer due to his height but loads and travels well.
He does not require any maintenance and receives unlimited grass hay, 5 lbs of grain, and a gastric supplement each day.
He is a barn favorite and could go straight into the show ring.
He is such a lovable big guy and would make a fantastic new family member for someone lucky!
Rehoming Fee: $7,500
