Currently measures 31" tall
Bucee is the sweetest and most playful donkey!
He was an owner surrender from a lovely family who got him as a 3 month old.
They bottle fed him till he was able to eat on his own and has blossomed into such a sweet soul.
Bucee loves to play and interact with people.
He will run up to you like a big puppy and ask for scratches.
He is kind to people and dogs and likes to frolic and play.
He is still a Jack (intact) male donkey as he has not reached the age of sexual maturity yet.
He will need to be gelded when it's time but would require he go to a home where he can be housed with geldings or other jack donkey's for now.
He does well with haltering and is learning to lead better with a hind end rope to encourage him to move forward.
He lets us handle all of his feet and loves being brushed and just getting attention.
He adores rolling in piles of sand and then getting the zoomies in the yard.
He is good around dogs and hasn’t tried to go after ours or kick.
He is friendly to kids and can be brushed and fly sprayed.
He is a very easy keeper and currently just has an alfalfa/orchard grass mix hay in a slow feed haynet, water and a salt lick.
He let us de-worm him easily and just is a super sweet fella!
He has good feet and have no history of lameness or founder.
He is up to date on their vaccines, worming, and farrier care.
He has been out with bigger horses and did well with them once they figured out what he was!
We think he would make a family happy as a companion, herd protector, pack, or cart donkey!
We will be sad to see this sweet boy go, but Bucee is ready for his new home.
