Quarter Horse Mare
Cheyenne is one of those rare been there and done it all kind of mares everyone is looking for these days!
In her days she has been used in lessons, been a therapy horse, has been a trail horse, you name it, she's done it.
She can be ridden English, Western, bareback, you name it, and would make a fantastic kids horse.
Cheyenne stands well to be groomed, and tacked and is easy to catch and loves being around people.
Don't let her age fool you, she will happily go on long trail rides any weekend you are ready.
Does well out in the pasture with geldings and mares 24/7 or can be stalled and does not have any vices
She is Advanced beginner friendly and anyone could ride her on the trails.
She has extensive training and neck reins, backs, side passes, and does roll backs.
She will walk, trot, and lope off easily and wants to please.
She is a super fun mare to ride and just makes you smile and goes easily in a basic snaffle.
You just have to think the direction you want to go and she will go there.
When you lower your hand she will stop and stand there as long as you ask her to.
Stands well to be mounted and does not move off until you are ready to do so.
She has good teeth and is able currently eating an alfalfa/ hay mix with grain to maintain her weight.
She did sustain an injury when she was much younger and consequently has a little hitch in her hind end movement and a subsequent Hunter's bump.
She would do best with a lighter rider or child rider to ensure she's comfortable for the rest of her days.
She loves water and ponds and loves getting baths on the hot summer days.
She is not spooky at all and at most will stop and stare at something and then continue on with minimal encouragement.
She does need a little work with trailer loading but if you are patient and consistent she does just fine.
She currently is in front shoes to help balance out her feet but might not need them long term if out on pasture.
She is the same horse no matter which day you pull her out or how long you have left her in the field.
She is up to date on wormer, teeth floating, vaccinations, and farrier trims.
Adoption fee fee: $1,000
