JC: Commander Kapp
13 Yrs Old
Louisiana Bred OTTB Gelding
16.1 hh
This sweet gelding is part of our Rowley Rescue Ranch Consignment Program which enables owners to find great homes for their horses.
We have known the previous two owners of this gelding so know quite a bit about him.
Commander has a wonderful temperament and not a mean bone in his body.
One of the sweetest geldings to be around he just wants to love on you and be your special guy.
We have had absolute beginners, to kids, to more experienced riders on him and they have all done really well.
Zero spook and three easy gaits. He is more of a kick ride but gets going once asked.
Never needs to be lunged. He can be ridden Western or English and knows how to neck rein and direct rein.
He can be ridden in groups or alone and isn't phased by either.
He is still learning to stand at the mounting block but getting better every time!
Commander previously has done cross country, then transitioned to being a western roping horse, and then a trail/play day/ pleasure horse. Talk about an all rounder!!
Has been ridden on trails, in an indoor and outdoor arena and nothing phases him.
He is the same horse no matter which day you take her out of the field and doesn't have a mean bone in his body.
He sometimes hesitates when loading in the trailer but will go in with minimal encouragement.
Lives out with geldings, mares, and ponies 24/7 and is quite submissive.
Has also been stalled and does well with both but really enjoys snack time and will sometimes paw for his grain.
He stands well for grooming and bathing and is not afraid of clippers.
He is great around dogs and small children and has never even offered to kick or do anything naughty.
Commander has been barefoot for a very long time and should not need shoes unless on rocky trails.
Uncomplicated and is up to date on wormer, teeth, coggins, vaccinations, and farrier care.
Rehoming fee: $4,500
Thoroughbred Bloodlines
Equibase - Race History
Backed by Rowley Rescue Ranch's reputation of honesty and transparency.
