Registered Arabian Mare
We rarely get in Arabians in our rescue, let alone registered ones like Desi
Desi is a super sweet mare with all of the qualities that make Arabians a wonderful breed.
Desi was an owner surrender to our program as her previous owners felt she could be and do more with a family.
Desi has a lovely conformation and a wonderful temperament.
Desi loads in the trailer and travels really well and is a very easy keeper.
She has been barefoot her whole life and is not on any maintenance or supplements.
Desi was sent to the trainer twice and did very well with her previous owners and can be ridden English or Western.
She has beautiful self carriage under saddle, is very light in the bridle and floats around the arena like a cloud.
She lunges well and listens to her person on the ground.
Stands well to be mounted from the ground and goes over trot poles with minimal encouragement.
She is currently in our Professional Training program at the rescue as she hasn't been ridden in a while so is going through a refresher.
She can be a little buddy sour but finds comfort in being around people and is doing very well with this training.
The sky's the limit as far as her potential goes, with some training we think she could go in any direction from pleasure to show horse.
Under saddle he would need an intermediate level rider as he has faster movements and is more go than whoa.
She would be perfect for someone with experience with Arabians and their light footed ness.
We think she would excel as a trail or endurance horse.
She has also previously been trained to jump but we wouldn't call her a naturally inclined jumper.
She's not necessarily spooky she's just quick on her feet so would not be recommended for a beginner at this time.
She excels in work and likes to have a job and has endless endurance like most Arabians.
She bends and flexes very well and is very soft and supple in your hands.
She stands very nicely to be groomed, tacked, and bathed.
We have used a basic snaffle bit for her and she would not need anything harsh.
Desi much prefers to be out on pasture. While she can be stalled she really isn't a big fan of it and would do much better in a pasture setting.
She is up to date on wormer, vaccines, Coggins, dental floating, and farrier care.
This beautiful mare is ready to be your next family member!
