Fiona is such a sweet mare who fools you with her age as she still has an engine!
In a past life this lovely mare was a polo pony and is very well trained and has a lot of buttons.
She neck reins, direct reins, lopes from a walk, collects on a loose rein, spins, turns on a dime, and stops from a verbal whoa. Not only does she have buttons but she is a pleasure to be around on the ground as well.
We think she would make a fantastic amount for a child or someone looking to get into speed events but needs a horse that won’t be nutty at the same time.
She would make a fantastic teacher and would love to go to fun shows and play days with someone.
She can be ridden English, Western, but western is definitely her forte.
She is not spooky and does not do anything remotely silly.
She would also be a good trail horse If paired with a buddy to lead the way for confidence.
She is beginner friendly on the ground and stands perfectly in cross ties or straight tied and does not pull back.
She stands to be groomed, sprayed, and tacked
She is also perfect for the farrier and does great barefoot.
She has no signs of lameness or soundness issues and requires no supplements or maintenance.
She loads in the trailer perfectly and is always ready to head out.
Don't let her age fool you, Fiona still has a motor and is ready to be enjoyed
Does well out in the pasture with geldings and mares 24/7 or can be stalled
She is an easy keeper and is able to maintain a good weight on grass hay and grain
We make sure to blanket her in the winter and she does well maintaining.
She is not "Mareish" at all and is one that has a "silent heat"
She is up to date on wormer, coggins, vaccinations, and barefoot trims.
