JC: Heidi Who
9 Yrs Old
15.2hh
Illinois Bred OTTB Mare
She has fantastic genetics with Storm Cat and Bertrando being her grandads!
Heidi is a lovely chunky girl who has that quarter horse physique
We just adore this sweet girl and she has really flourished since coming off the track!
She stands well and lets you groom, brush and bath her without moving
She has zero stable vices
She can be ridden English and Western
She goes from a gentle squeeze and would do best with an intermediate or above rider
She is a very smart girl and a willing partner who improves with every ride.
She has free jumped up to 2' and shows promise as a hunter
She has also gone over trot poles under saddle
Heidi does require special farrier care as she has long front toes.
These will slowly need to be brought back over time and she will likely need shoes for harder ground.
She would make a wonderful first or second field fox hunter, hunter/jumper, event horse, endurance horse, trail horse, or all around pleasure mount.
She retired sound from the track in 2018 with no injuries.
Clean radiographs will be provided to adopters of her front hooves
She is not on any supplements or medication and does well on grass hay and 10lbs of grain per day
She is not "mareish" at all and is one that has a "silent heat".
Loaded in the trailer perfectly, without hesitation for us.
She requires consistent farrier care, and is up to date on wormer, teeth floating, coggins, vaccinations, and farrier.
Adoption fee: $2,000
