Kentucky Bred OTTB Mare
RRP Makeover 2022 Eligible
Ivy is an impeccably bred mare and is a joy to be around!
Her sire is Data Link and she sold for $33K at the Kentucky Yearling Sale
She raced at the track but retired as she did not show promise and was intended to be a broodmare.
Sadly Ivy lost her foal and her racing connections decided to surrender her to our rescue to find a new home.
She lunges really well and has very balanced gaits
She is very soft and can be ridden Bitless or in a basic snaffle.
She learns cues quickly via R+ techniques and leaned how to “pick me up” at the mounting block in 15 minutes!
She stands very nicely to be groomed, tacked, and bathed.
Stands perfectly straight tied and also in crossties
She is easy to catch in the pasture and has zero vices
She is more on the whoa versus go side but moves beautifully.
She is not spooky at all and hasn’t once tried to do anything remotely naughty.
She would excel as a western dressage horse, trails, hunters, pleasure riding, bareback, you name it!
She is currently out in the pasture 24/7 with geldings and mares and is about the middle of the pack
She will have been kept in a stall at the track for most of his life and she acclimated to pasture life right away.
She loaded up right away for us in the trailer.
She is doing well barefoot and has good feet so, could remain unshod.
She is up to date on wormer, coggins, vaccinations, and farrier.
She has no known history of injury, lameness, or medical issues.
She will require a non-breeding contract
She is not on any supplements or maintenance.
Rehoming Fee: $3,500
