Jasmine
17 Yrs Old
15.3hh
Appendix Mare
Jasmine is a beautiful mare who has been through a lot in her life.
From what we understand she was previously an Amish Cart horse who was then used extensively for breeding.
She was then discarded and taken to an auction and wound up at the Stroud Oklahoma Kill Pen.
Thankfully that is where her luck began to change and she was purchased by a lovely lady.
Her previous owner took great care of her, fattened her up, and got her healthy.
They decided to downsize and surrender her to the rescue so that they could find her a home where she could be enjoyed!
Jasmine has a broodmare physic but she is a beautiful mover. She floats around the arena and is sound and beautiful.
She has a super sweet demeanor and loves head rubs,
She stands beautifully for mounting and is patient and just needs someone to teach her leg commands.
She can be kept out with mares and geldings and doesn't have any stable vices.
She is more whoa than go under saddle but we think with more rides it will start to come back to her.
She does very well with liberty work and loves to be around people.
We think she would love to be your companion, your pleasure horse or trail horse.
She is not spooky at all and is very gentle. She can be ridden English or Western, and Bareback.
She will need sedation when having farrier trims as she used to being trimmed in stocks.
She is currently on a forage only diet and gastric supplement as she arrived with gastric ulcers.
She can be stalled or in a field and is easy to catch.
She is doing well barefoot and could remain unshod.
She is up to date on wormer, floating, Coggins, vaccinations.
She has no known history of injury, lameness, or medical issues.
She is not on any supplements or maintenance.
Adoption fee: $800
