June Bug
15 Yrs Old
15 hh
Quarter Horse Mare
June Bug is one of those rare been there and done it all kind of mares everyone is looking for these days!
We picked up June Bug at a local auction where we were told she was previously a ranch mare in Minnesota.
She can be ridden English, Western, is a perfect trail horse, has been roped off of, has done goat tying, and loped the barrel pattern.
She stands well and lets you groom, brush her without moving
She loads in the trailer perfectly and stand tied patiently and does not pull back.
Her legs aren't the prettiest from her working days but a long as she's kept on a 6 week trim cycle she should not have any issues.
She will not need shoes and should be ale to remain barefoot.
She has a slightly limited range of motion in her left front leg due to a scar but moves sound and has grown to accommodate it.
Does well out in the pasture with geldings and mares 24/7 or can be stalled and does not have any vices
She is Advanced beginner friendly and anyone could ride her on the trails.
She has extensive experience working on a cattle ranch and is great around cows.
She one hand neck reins and can also direct rein.
She is a super fun mare to ride and just makes you smile and goes easily in a basic snaffle.
Her best gait is her lope which is smooth and comfy.
You just have to think the direction you want to go and she will go there.
Stands well to be mounted and does not move off until you are ready to do so.
She is used to being mounted from the ground so we did introduce the mounting block to her and she took right too it.
She is great around dogs and does not kick out at them.
She is not mareish at all and comes up to you first in the pasture.
We blanketed her this winter and She does not require any supplements.
We think she would be great for anyone to trail ride with, enjoy, a play day horse for your kids, she would love that life!
She is not spooky at all and at most will stop and stare at something and then continue on with minimal encouragement.
She is the same horse no matter which day you pull her out or how long you have left her in the field.
She is up to date on de worming, coggins, vaccinations, and barefoot trims.
We think one family will be so lucky to have this lovely mare in their life!
Rehoming fee: $3,500
