Lucy and Ricky are wonderful beginner friendly ponies
They would be perfect as someone's personal ponies, lead-line lesson ponies, or pasture puffs that the kids can ride.
They have been together for the last 10 years, so if we can rehome them together, that would be a dream!
They both trailered perfectly and loaded well for us, in fact Ricky hopped right on in the trailer before we were even ready.
They were previously used for lead-line lessons and pony parties
Like most ponies, they do have a few special needs to be met in their next home:
Lucy - has previously had a lamanitic episode due to being previously overweight
She will require shoes with wedge pads on her fronts to remain sound.
With shoes an a regular trim schedule she remains sound.
She is not on any medication and can be out on pasture if introduced to it slowly in the spring.
She moves out beautifully and has a calm easy walk and trot for all levels or riders.
Ricky - has seasonal asthma and occasionally needs medicine to help with this.
We will provide his current medication but does best on pasture or with soaked hay if he is having an episode.
A low dust environment is key for him.
Don't let his asthma fool you though, Ricky moves out really well and actually has a faster pace walk
He also does great on a circle on a lunge line and knows his lead-line job very well.
Both go over trot poles and Lucy has likely done some low level jumping
Both have perfect ground manners and stand tied to be groomed, tacked, and bathed perfectly
Both are fine with sprays and are not naughty in the slightest
Neither are spooky and anyone (of the right size) could ride these cuties
They both can live out on pasture with geldings, mares, and ponies 24/7
They can also both be stalled and have no stable vices.
We just recommend a low dust bedding for Ricky.
They are both up to date on wormer, vaccinations, and farrier.
They are okay being separated for work, but we would like to keep them together in their new home if possible.
** Rider in the video is 6 years old**
Rehoming fee: $1,500 for the pair of ponies
Backed by Rowley Ranch's reputation of honesty and transparency.
Safety and suitability are of the utmost importance in placing these horses.
