Nimbus
17 Yrs Old
Arabian Gelding
Nimbus is such a beautiful soul and could use someone to love him as their own!
Nimbus came to us when he was surrendered by a family that didn't know a lot about his history.
They believe he has been ridden at some point but he was very afraid of being caught when he arrived.
He was flighty and scared initially and we have been working on building his confidence and trust.
As time has gone on, we have been able to catch and halter him and are working on leading.
He moves very well and does not show any signs of lameness or injury.
He was afraid of the trailer mainly due to not having left the property he was at in years.
After some encouragement though he loaded and backed off well.
He is an easy keeper on a forage based diet and has good hooves for them not being trimmed in a while.
Our farrier sedated him to get a good trim job done but we believe with time and patience he would not need sedation.
He is definitely a project horse and would need to be stabled somewhere he could be worked with every day and not just thrown out in a pasture as he would be very hard to catch.
He is up to date on his coggins and was de-wormed and vaccinated.
He stood well for all of these treatments and does well with yo being on his right side surprisingly.
We would love to see him go to a home with someone willing to put in the work and time to gain his trust.
He responds really well to positive reinforcement techniques and is a very gentle and sweet soul.
