Onyx is the sweetest gentleman around
This lovely gelding was an owner surrender to our program and was previously an auction rescue.
He is very broke and is looking for someone to enjoy his later years with.
He is a trail riding pro and is beginner friendly for any rider.
He did come in with some hoof tenderness in his heal bulbs and will require Egg Bar shoes on his fronts to remain comfortable.
He needs a low impact life of trail riding or toting around your kiddos in the pasture.
He stands perfectly to be groomed and tacked and is easy to catch.
He stands well to be mounted and neck reins beautifully.
He will need a lighter/ smaller rider and would be ideal for a petite adult or child rider.
He is currently being used in lessons with beginner children from 6-9 years old.
Onyx has a ton of life left in him and looks fantastic for his age.
He is a very gentle soul who loves attention.
He stood perfectly for the farrier and does not pull back or make a fuss.
He is not a spooky horse and can be ridden inside or outside but loves the trails.
He is friends with geldings and mares and gets along with everyone well in the pasture.
He can also be stalled and has no vices.
He has a very gentle mouth and rides well in a basic snaffle.
He loads in the trailer great and hops right in ready for his adventure.
He still has good teeth and is currently eating unlimited round bale grass hay and bute-less joint supplement due to his age.
He is up to date on wormer, teeth floating, coggins, vaccinations, and farrier care.
