Patches is the sweetest little mare and that perfect height that everyone is looking for.
Over the years she has been an amazing kids horse and has been a companion to many.
Back when she was younger she was used as a lesson pony in lead-line lessons for children.
About 8 years ago, she was bred to a full size donkey and delivered a healthy mule.
Patches has shared a pasture with all kinds of animals including cows, donkeys, livestock guard dogs, sheep, and goats.
She has also been around turkeys, guinea fowl, ducks, and chickens.
Patches doesn't get spooked by much including barking dogs or loud noises.
Patches currently lives with 2 full size horses and a mini donkey.
She does well in a pasture or also in an individual pen by herself or stall.
Patches would make a great lesson pony at a stable for lead line age children to learn to ride on.
She is learning how to lunge at the trot and canter but she does have a faster trot and quick canter.
If you have a smaller rider who likes speed she could be trained to be a fantastic games pony.
Patches would love being a trail pony and she will follow anything (humans included) that is in front of her.
She is very gentle, sweet and patient pony that is just happy to be used.
She can be ridden with a bit and bridle with full English or Western tack or a halter and rope on bareback.
She loves to be groomed and stand patiently for brushing and baths.
She loads right up into the trailer with no issues and stands well tied.
When the farrier comes to trim hooves, Patches stands perfectly tied and waits for her turn.
Every farrier has had zero issues with trimming her hooves as she stands patiently while she gets her pedicure treatment.
Patches has never had any known health issues and has not foundered or had any laminitis concerns.
Patches' family is wanting her to find a loving home where she will be loved and enjoyed by her new family.
Patches is a little princess and deserves the best!
