Peaches

Belgian Draft Mare
Peaches is the epitome of a Gentle Giant and we just adore this big lady!
We were able to rescue this sweet mare from the auction pipeline where she had been peddled from auction to auction
She is everything you want in the perfect Belgian Draft girl.
She is calm and quite and beginner friendly
She loads perfectly in the trailer, ties, and stands and waits patiently
She is easy to catch in the field and is great to give vaccines and wormer to
She has no issues with picking up her feet and doesn't lean on you at all
She is also broke to drive and we believe she was an Amish work horse in her previous life
We love how she has her full mane and tail and doesn't show signs of stress from her last career
She is a gentle leader in the field and while the top of the pack she is not in any way aggressive
She does well on unlimited grass hay and 10 lbs of grain per day
She has clean legs and has no signs of lameness and requires no supplements or maintenance.
She is not herd bound or mareish at all and is just a sweet big teddy bear of a girl
She lunges well and is soft and gentle on the line
She stands to be groomed and is doesn't move when you spray her with shiny spray
She also doesn't move when you give her a bath or wash her
She is great around dogs and isn't phased by them at all
She stands perfectly for the mounting block and doesn't move off before you are ready
She is gentle under saddle and turns and stops easily and has absolutely zero spook
She is definitely a more whoa than go kind of girl and likes the slower pace of life
She is a super safe mare who backs up easily and responds great to leg aids.
She is so soft mouthed that we are trying a halter bridle on her as we don't think she even needs a bit
Can be ridden bareback, English or Western and goes over poles. Anyone could ride this girl.
She would make a fantastic trail horse, therapy horse, pleasure horse, and she is broke to drive a cart
We find that a lot of previous work horses are not fond of their faces being touched but she loves head rubs
She is barefoot and is up to date on wormer, coggins, vaccinations, and farrier.
