Poe is a gorgeous big boy and he jumps effortlessly!
He has a lovely conformation and a wonderful temperament
He is almost a warhorse as he raced 43 times
He stands very nicely to be groomed, tacked, and bathed
He is a joy to ride and has big floaty ground covering gaits.
He does great on the lunge line and has been worked in a basic snaffle.
Could be ridden by an advanced beginner on up.
He does have a big stride which can be harder for complete beginners to sit, but takes care of his rider.
He would make a great lesson horse for adults as he will just slow down if you loose your balance.
He is not fast but also not a kick ride. He has a lovely steady smooth pace.
In the correct hands he will easily collect into a frame naturally.
He has been ridden by a 10 year old girl and was a complete babysitter.
He hasn't shown any signs of bucking, rearing, bolting kicking, or anything remotely naughty.
No need to lunge him before you ride, he is the same boy everyday, you can just hop on and go.
Super uncomplicated to jump and is currently jumping 2'3 verticals with absolute ease.
Has the potential to jump a lot higher and be an upper level jumper in my opinion.
He has never refused or ducked out. You line him up and over he will go.
Approaches new questions well and gains confidence quickly.
We think he could be a fantastic eventing horse, Pony clubbing mount, First Field fox hunter, dressage , show jumper, you name it!
He is currently out in the pasture 24/7 with geldings and mares and is about the middle of the pack
He always comes up to you in the field and loves attention from people.
He can also be kept in a stall and has no stable vices
He trailered very well and loaded up right away for us.
He is currently barefoot but we are using boots for him on harder ground so could use shoes if required for showing.
He is not on any supplements, medication, or maintenance at this time, but may need joint injections in the future.
He retired with minor arthritis in his RF and LH so might need some maintenance if jumping or as he gets older there.
We have xrays on a CD that we can provide the new owner with that were taken when he retired in 2015.
He also has a slightly thickened tendon on his LF front but it has never caused him any issues.
It was said to have occurred when he was a yearling and he went on to race with this for many years.
He is up to date on wormer, coggins, vaccinations, and farrier.
He is ready to go in any direction you would like to take him!
Rehoming fee: $2,500
