Poppy is a lovely stout mare that is looking great for her age and ready for her new home!
Poppy came to us when he was surrendered by a family that didn't know a lot about her history.
When she arrived she was a little hesitant to come up to you and be caught but once you catch her she stands well.
She gives up pretty easily and seems to enjoy learning and training.
For an older gal, she does not look her age and her teeth and feet look great!
She is more dominant in the pasture and will always be sure to get her snacks.
She has not stable vices and can be in a pasture with geldings and mares no problem.
We are currently working with her on getting her started under saddle as she was never ridden.
To groom she stands perfectly and seems to enjoy the attention.
She loaded in the trailer well after taking a minute to understand the question presented to her.
She has had his feet trimmed and can be barefoot.
Her teeth look great and she does not require a special diet.
She is up to date on his coggins and was de-wormed and vaccinated.
She stood well for all of these treatments and the farrier.
We think se would make someone a great companion horse that is low maintenance,
Or put the time into her and make her a riding horse!
