Arkansas Bred OTTB Mare
Stormcat and Mr. Prospector Bloodlines!
Robin was another auction save that we saw standing in a pen, skinny and discarded.
We were luckily able to save her and she started to pack on the pounds.
She came in with a terrible hoof abscess which is likely due to her poor nutrition.
Luckily she has been sound since that has burst and is a lovely mover.
We placed front shoes on her to help her thin soled hooves but don't anticipate her needing shoes long term.
She is more whoa than go and is a kick ride, but once going she maintains a lovely pace.
Unlike his Stormcat bloodlines, he does not have any motivation to go fast.
She would be great for advanced beginners and is very forgiving.
Not spooky at all and great around dogs, kids, and loud noises.
She stands perfectly to be groomed and tacked and is very patient.
She can be stalled with no vices or out in the herd and she's the middle of the pack.
She is an all-around gem and can be ridden western or English.
We think she'd love to be your next trail horse as she loves to walk on a loose long rein!
Goes around comfortably on the buckle and we rode her in a basic snaffle.
She has no known vices and is easy to catch in the field and load in a the trailer.
She does not require any maintenance or special supplements.
She currently receives unlimited grass hay and 6 lbs of alfalfa and 4 lbs of grain daily while she still needs to gain weight.
She is up to date on wormer, Coggins, vaccinations, teeth floating, and barefoot trims.
She is a super sweet mare who we are so glad we were able to save from an unknown future.
