Rocky - "Granite Informant"
16 Yrs Old

AQHA - Registered Quarter Horse
Rocky is a super sweet gelding who was born in Texas and was a racing Quarter Horse
He only raced one time and finished dead last, so had a very lack luster racing career.
Sadly Rocky then ended up in the Stroud Oklahoma Kill Pen, but was luckily saved by a local woman.
She kept Rocky on 40 acres of grass pasture and took him to Baker-Spain Stampede camping!
Unfortunately, he lost a lot of weight prior to being surrendered and arrived at our rescue at a level 2 body condition score.
We have had his teeth floated, de-wormed him, and started light exercise and he's already at a level 3.
He was used in advanced beginner lessons and is a steady eddy non-spooky husband type horse.
In the arena he is a bit more forward but settles in as you go around.
He would make a fantastic husband horse due to his larger size.
He does better with more movement and would do best in a pasture type living situation.
He is currently stalled at night and has no stable vices.
He would do best with some kind of shade or run in shed on the hot summer days as he is a little heat intollerant.
We think he would make a great pleasure horse or trail horse for someone or a lesson horse.
Stands well to be mounted and does not move off until you are ready to do so.
He is great around dogs and does not kick out at them.
He also is great with heavy machinary, sounds, and vehicles and nothing bothers him.
He stands great to be groomed and tacked.
We are blanketing him on the cold winter days as he is still needing to gain weight but is not on any supplements or maintenece.
We think he would be great for anyone to trail ride with or pack around your kiddos and grandkids!
He is the same horse no matter which day you pull him out or how long you have left him in the field.
He is up to date on de-worming, teeth floating, vaccinations, and barefoot trims.
He does need to continue to gain weight and is currently getting unlimited grass hay, 8lbs of grain, and 4 lbs of alfalfa per day.
We think one family will be so lucky to have this lovely gelding in their life!
Adoption fee: $2,500
