JC: Roll Call
6 Yrs Old
Kentucky Bred OTTB Gelding
16.1 hh
RRP Eligible and A.P. Indy Bloodlines
I have to admit it, I moved Rolo into my personal horse pasture as I love this boy so much.
I have nothing bad to say about him and just adore everything about him.
I sadly do not need another personal horse, so it is time to find him the perfect home.
When he was on the track he really didn't enjoy his job
He retired sound, with no injuries, but really did not want to run.
He would rear, buck, throw himself down, all to not have to run.
Luckily, his racing connections decided to retire him and he has transformed into a teddy bear.
I would trust anyone to ride Rolo and he can be ridden bitless, bareback, western, English, you name it.
He LOVES positive reinforcement and will do anything for a cookie!
He really enjoys being loved on by people and will come up to you in the pasture looking for attention.
He will stand all day long to be brushed and seems to really enjoy it.
Stands perfectly for the farrier and trailers beautifully.
Does not need to be lunged before you ride him and has never even attempted to spook or do anything naughty.
He is so calm that he doesn't even look at things in the arena or outside.
I normally never call a fresh OTTB, beginner friendly, but I truly feel anyone could ride this boy.
He has a bigger stride and a beautiful rocking horse canter
He is very much a hunter type horse and would excel on the hunt circuit.
Started over fences free jumping and will be continuing his education here.
He had sore feet when we removed his racing plates but did great with cavallo hoof boots.
Could use shoes if going on rocky ground or boots.
He is a pleasure inside and out of the arena and would also make a great trail riding horse.
He has no limitations and could honestly go in whichever direction you desire.
He is more whoa than go, but not a kick ride.
Goes around comfortably on the buckle and can be ridden in a bitless sidepull.
He is the same horse no matter what day you ride
Great around traffic, dogs, and has no known vices.
He is fine in a stall or out in a pasture with geldings, mares, and ponies
He does not require any maintenance or supplements
He is a barn favorite and could go straight into the show ring or just be your best friend.
He is such a lovable big guy and would make a fantastic new family member for someone lucky!
