Rowdy
Appendix Quarter Horse Gelding
25 Yrs Old
16 hh
Who is looking for a dressage schoolmaster?
Rowdy is your man! Don't let his age fool you, this boy has a big engine still and loves to work!
Rowdy competed in his previous career up to Novice level in Eventing and most recently has been ridden western.
He has level 10 fantastic uphill floaty movements and is very balanced and smooth.
Under saddle he immediately goes into a frame and knows how to collect without even being asked.
He stands to be groomed and tacked very well and has lovely ground manners.
He loves to have a job and really enjoys being ridden. Would do best in a more consistent riding program.
He has a very large frame, so we would suggest him for an advanced beginner working with a trainer on up.
He is quite forward so may need a bit stronger than a snaffle when getting back into consistent work.
He is not spooky or naughty in any way, just has a motor still, so need someone with a good seat to bring out his full potential.
If you are looking to get into dressage and want a horse to show you the ropes, Rowdy is your guy!
If you are learning dressage and want to go to some schooling shows and have fun, he would love that.
If you are a lesson barn looking for a horse that can teach students about collection, he'd be fantastic!
Up to date on vaccinations, Coggins, worming, sheath cleaning, teeth and farrier
Currently barefoot and has great feet and requires no medication or maintenance.
He has great teeth and does well on a forage based diet of grass hay and alfalfa.
Friendly around dogs, can be stalled with no vices, or has lived out in the pasture 24/7 as well.
He is a barn favorite with his super sweet personality and could go straight into the show ring or be your next schoolmaster!
