JC: Country Sky
7 Yrs Old
15.2 hh
FOALED APRIL 9, 2015
Kentucky Bred Un-raced Thoroughbred Mare
Speightstown Bloodlines!
Country Sky is a mare with unlimited potential and she is a pure blank slate.
She has so much potential to go in whichever direction you'd like to take her!
She is built like a brick house and is very easy keeper on a forage only diet and barefoot with great hooves.
She never raced but was track trained and showed no promise so her owners retired her to become a broodmare.
She has been bred the past 2 years, but very unfortunately the first year she had twins and lost them.
This past year she had a healthy foal but it unfortunately got a staph infection later on and they lost it too.
Her owners felt she deserved to go on to a new career and a restart program and have always done right by her.
She has been on 24hr turnout for years and she is as low maintenance as a horse comes.
If you put her in a stall for long periods we have noticed she wants to crib, does not do it at all with consistent turnout.
Under saddle she is a green bean but has good steering and is calm and patient.
She isn't a kick ride but she also isn't the fastest TB we have had. She goes off of gentle pressure and really like trotting.
She doesn't show any mareish behaviors and is very sweet to groom, tack, and ride.
We think she would excel in western disciplines due to her build and would also be great at trails.
She loaded perfectly when she was brought to us and traveled well.
She isn't herd bound at all and she love people and face rubs.
Can be ridden English or Western and in a basic snaffle.
She is just oozing with potential to be a western sport horse, pleasure horse, trail horse, hunter/jumper, you name it!
She is currently barefoot and has good feet so shouldn't need shoes. She stood perfectly for the farrier.
She is up to date on her vaccines, coggins, worming, floating, and farrier care.
She is not on any supplements or maintenance.
We feel someone will be really lucky to have this girl in their life for many years to come!
Adoption fee: $3,500
