JC: Smooth Volume
4 Yrs Old

Ohio Bred Un-raced Thoroughbred Mare
Tapit Bloodlines!
Rarely does a horse as nice as Smoothie come through our program!
She is a blank slate and has so much potential to go in whichever direction you'd like to take her!
Smoothie was race trained for 2 months as a 2 year old and sustained a stress fracture to her Left Front Cannon Bone.
She was retired then and there and used as a broodmare and now surrendered to our rescue.
We have x-rays of the healed cannon bone and she has never taken a lame step on it.
She is a beautiful mover and could go in so many directions.
She is a green bean but is the sweetest mare you will meet. No mareish behavior at all with her.
She enjoys getting her bucks and kicks out in turnout and through liberty exercises and then is all business under saddle.
She would be suitable for an intermediate rider working with a trainer or advanced rider who can bring her along themselves.
She isn't herd bound at all and stood very well for mounting.
She love people and is amazing at liberty work. She just wants to be beside you and stays very connected.
Under saddle she has three easy floaty gaits and is very balanced for only a few months under saddle.
She responds well to gentle pressure and encouragement.
She has a beautiful canter and knows her leads very well. She also knows how to back and goes around like she is far more trained.
Can be ridden English or Western and in a basic snaffle, but she has a very gentle mouth and doesn't require any pressure.
She is just oozing with potential to be a sport horse, Eventer, hunter/jumper, pleasure horse, you name it!
She is currently barefoot and has good feet so shouldn't need shoes.
She does well in a consistent training program and enjoys learning and improves with each session.
She is currently individually stalled and for turnout, but she has been kept out in the pasture 24/7 and gets along with everyone
She is up to date on her vaccines, coggins, worming, floating, and farrier care.
She is not on any supplements or maintenance.
She does have a small bump on the right side of her face above her nostril but it has been inspected and is a harmless tissue pocket
We feel someone will be really lucky to have this girl in their life for many years to come!
Adoption fee: $3,500
