Sorren is a lovely project gelding who has a ton of potential but he has had a tough start in life.
Sorren unfortunately has had a history of trauma and abuse.
He came to our program and was professionally started under saddle but hasn't been ridden in a while and showed that trauma during the saddling and mounting process.
We have taken him back to square one and he is doing well being re-started.
He has fantastic ground manners and has had a lot of groundwork training previously.
He is very well put together and has three beautiful gaits with no history of lameness or any health issues.
He was a little ear/ head shy when we first went to catch him but has done very well with positive reinforcement.
He stood perfectly to have his barefoot trim with a hay bag in front of him and does very well with treat training.
At liberty, he wants to be near you and responds very well to your body language. He's a natural at it!
Stands great for grooming and tacking and accepts the bit beautifully.
He leads well and loads in a trailer great. He has no stable vices and can be in a stall or a paddock with other horses.
He is an easy keeper and is on a forage-only diet and barefoot.
Due to his previous trauma he will need someone to continue his training and remain consistent with him.
He is currently in our professional training program and is a fast learner, but that training will need to be maintained.
He is up to date on vaccines, coggins, worming, and farrier care.
He is not on any supplements or maintenance.
He is a true project in every sense of the word, but we think with consistent positive training he will blossom in his new home!
