Tilly
13 Yrs Old
14hh
Haflinger Mare
Who needs an adorable Haffie mare in their life?
We were able to rescue this sweet mare from the auction pipeline where she had been peddled from auction to auction
She was previously an Amish work horse who has been trained to ride and drive
She has a wonderful brain, is not a spooky horse, and loves to learn
She rides English and Western
She hasn't had much arena riding experience so we are focusing on balance and transitions, especially into the canter
Each time we ride her she gets better and better.
We took her over trot poles and she didn't hesitate at all. She will also go through gates easily.
She is not herd bound and not mareish at all.
She would make a fantastic pleasure horse, pony club mount, trail horse, fox hunter, dressage horse the list goes on and on.
She has never tried to kick, bite, bolt, buck, rear, or do anything remotely naughty with us.
She loaded up perfectly in the rain and the dark at the auction for us.
She lives out 24/7 with ponies, geldings, and mares, and also stalls perfectly.
She can sometimes be a little evasive to catch in the pasture, but if you take some grain with you she will stand to be caught no problem.
She is great with hoof handling and stood perfectly for her barefoot trim with the farrier.
She lunges perfectly and doesn't do anything silly.
She stands perfectly straight tied to be groomed and bathed.
She is an easy keeper and up to date on her Coggins, Vaccines, Worming, and Farrier.
She has no known health or soundness issues and is not on any kind of maintenance.
