Whiskey is a gorgeous gaited gelding who was an owner surrender to our program.
He has been loved all of his life by a now elderly couple who used to take him on tons of trail rides and horse camping.
He is an overnight camping pro and has been to Eminence and Brushy Creek a lot!
He was the husband's go-to mount and sadly he needed to downsize and they wanted him to find the best home to live out his days!
Whiskey has a ton of life left in him and you wouldn't know he was 25. In fact the owners thought he was closer to 15.
Upon taking him to the vet to get his check down and update his coggins, we determined he's closer to 25.
He is a very gentle soul who loves attention.
Stands perfectly still and is fantastic for his hoof handling and care.
He has had beginner adults and absolute first time rider kids lead-lined around on him and he's calm and safe.
He is not a spooky horse and can be ridden inside or outside but loves the trails.
Being a Tennessee walker, he is gaited and it is smooth like butter and super comfy!
He is friends with geldings and mares and gets along with everyone well in the pasture.
He can also be stalled and has no vices.
If he is unsure about anything he is the kind to stop and look and then continue on with minimal encouragement.
He has a very gentle mouth and rides well in a basic snaffle.
He is a smooth well built gelding who would be comfy for any man or woman to ride.
He is not flighty, spooky, or dangerous in any way at all.
He loads in the trailer great and hops right in ready for his adventure.
He stands tide well at the trailer also and does not pull back.
He stands well to be groomed, bathed, and tacked, and doesn't mind sprays
He still has good teeth and is currently eating unlimited round bale grass hay and alfalfa hay to supplement.
We trimmed his feet and removed his shoes and feel he could remain barefoot.
He is up to date on wormer, Coggins, vaccinations, and farrier. He is being scheduled for the equine dentist.
