28 Yrs Old
14.3 hh
Registered Quarter Horse Gelding
Zippy is a lovely older gentleman whose grandsire is Zippo Pine Bar himself!
Zippy has been there and done it all, but don't let his age fool you, he still has a motor.
Sadly his owner passed away and Zippy is looking for his final forever home.
He can be ridden English, Western, is a perfect trail horse, has taught lessons to kids and adults, you name it.
He is beginner friendly and anyone could ride him.
He has been trained in reining and cutting and knows how to neck rein.
He is very responsive to your aids in the arena and knows his job
He loves being outside of the arena and really enjoys trail riding the most.
He stands well and lets you groom, brush and bath him without moving
He loads in the trailer perfectly and will stand in cross ties or straight tied.
Does well out in the pasture with geldings and mares 24/7 or can be stalled
Does best if blanketed in the winter and supplemented with grain
Still has good teeth, no dental issues, and they were recently floated.
He could use Cavallo Hoof Boots on rocky trails or does just fine barefoot on softer ground
He does best with pasture boarding or turnout as He will get a little stiff if kept in a stall without getting out to move.
We give him Butless Supplement as he shows signs of arthritis which is common for his age.
He has never even remotely tried to do anything naughty or mean with us and has no vices
He is up to date on wormer, coggins, teeth floating, vaccinations, and barefoot trims.
Zippy would make a wonderful pasture puff, a steady eddy trail horse for your youngsters, or a wonderful family horse.
He is looking for his perfect family to live out the rest of his days with!
Adoption fee: $850
Registration papers included with adoption
